It does not refer to 2% of a weak, pre-diluted supplier solution.

This gives customers a stronger, more transparent and more honestly labelled product. You know that the percentage displayed represents the peptide itself—not mainly water, solvents, preservatives or other carrier ingredients.

What 2% Pure GHK-Cu Means

Our 2% GHK-Cu Serum contains approximately:

600 mg of GHK-Cu peptide powder in a 30 g serum

This is calculated directly from the pure peptide content:

30 g × 2% = 0.6 g, or 600 mg

The concentration refers to the actual GHK-Cu powder used during formulation.

This allows customers to understand what they are purchasing and makes it easier to compare our serum fairly against other products.

Why Other Peptide Percentages Can Be Misleading

Many cosmetic peptides are not supplied to manufacturers as pure powder. Instead, they are sold as pre-diluted solutions.

These solutions may contain:

  • Water

  • Glycerin or other solvents

  • Preservatives

  • Stabilising ingredients

  • A relatively small amount of actual peptide

A manufacturer may add 5% or 10% of this diluted solution to a serum and then advertise the product using that larger percentage.

For example, a product may be advertised as containing “10% SNAP-8,” when it actually contains 10% of a diluted SNAP-8 supplier solution—not 10% pure Acetyl Octapeptide-3.

The customer sees a large percentage, but the actual amount of peptide may be much lower than expected.

A Simple Example

Imagine a GHK-Cu supplier solution contains only 1% actual peptide.

If a manufacturer adds that solution to a serum at 2%, the final concentration of pure GHK-Cu would be:

2% × 1% = 0.02% actual GHK-Cu

In a 30 g serum, that would equal approximately:

6 mg of actual GHK-Cu

Compare that with the Biolabs formula:

Both products may display “2%” in their marketing, but the actual peptide content could differ by 100 times.

SNAP-8, also known as Acetyl Octapeptide-3, is commonly sold as a diluted cosmetic solution.

A manufacturer may say that a serum contains 5% or 10% SNAP-8, while that percentage actually refers to the total supplier blend.

The blend may consist mainly of water, carriers and preservatives, with only a small amount of actual SNAP-8 peptide.

This does not mean that diluted peptide solutions are automatically poor ingredients. They can make manufacturing and measuring easier.

The issue is how the percentage is communicated.

There is a major difference between:

  • 10% pure peptide

  • 10% of a diluted peptide solution

  • 10% of a proprietary peptide blend
